Expressway S8 or express road S8 (in Polish ''droga ekspresowa S8'') is major road in Poland which, when completed, will run along the route Wrocław – Łódź – Warsaw – Białystok. The whole road is planned to be about long. Originally the road was to continue on to the border with Lithuania but in 2009 the plans have been changed, and currently the S61 will branch off S8 and go to the border.〔(Dz.U. 2009 nr 187 poz. 1446 ) 〕 S8 section from Warsaw to S61 has been planned to become part of Via Baltica. == History of construction == In May 2015, of the expressway was completed.
